In the middle of land locked Idaho I was pleasantly surprised to find good sushi. Bushido is a little on the pricey side, even for sushi, but it is really delicious. I have tried a bunch of different rolls and have enjoyed all of them, especially the spider. The Dragon roll is kind of the house specialty, the chef makes you whatever he wants. I am not the type to blindly order something, but the waiter said that the dragon roll is always better than anything else you could order..and he was SO right. It is always different and surprising, but super delicious. You can say that you don't want something in particular (ie. crab, salmon, avocado). I would definitely recommend this be one of the rolls you try here. I shared some of a hibachi meal once and was not very impressed, so I would stick with the sushi. Service has always been okay, we have felt a little rushed or that we were making the server feel "put out", so not the best in this area.

We paid $70 for a bunch of crappy dried out sushi. I was really disappointed in the quality and size . It has been years since I have gone and I am bummed that it's so crappy now. if you are craving sushi this is not the place to go.

Staff forgot our appetizer and our dinner had little flavor.

This was sub par sushi in my opinion. Which sort of hurts to say, because I know Idaho Falls isn't rife with sushi joints. But this isn't worth me going to ever again. The owner, or manager was plenty nice. He came out and talked to us about spicy heat levels, and about his business and how it's fairing. But service alone can't carry a company. Get better at your trade and make a more quality sushi. One's that have a unique taste, are fresh, and not packed full of cream cheeses, tempura or heavy mayos. The inside wasn't decent enough with their little koi pond. It was cute. But the food, man, just not very good, especially for the price. I won't go back. Sorry guys.

The server was rude when he was asked for suggestions on the menu. We have had lots of great sushi but we wanted to know if there were any house specialities! Nope! I ordered yaki soba. It was over cooked and gross. The chicken was bland... Possibly boiled ( what do they do with all those grills)? They had triple the amount of sauce that made it horrible, hardly and vegetables. No return visit... Ever.

My husband and I love a good Hibachi, however, this was not one of them. The food lacked flavor, and our shrimp wasn't even cooked fully. We took it home and cooked it longer and made it taste much better with our own spices. The show was lacking, the guy didn't really have that much to skill. He was Filipino, too. How about a Japanese chef for a Japanese restaurant? The service was slow. We sat a good half hour before we got any of the appetizers that come with a hibachi meal. All in all, we were very disappointed and will not be coming back. I will not recommend this place to friends because of the overall poor quality. Also, it's crazy expensive and not worth it.

Its unfortunate this establishment isn't in a nicer location because it would be easy to discount the quality of the sushi based on it. Idaho Falls has a gem here with an exceptionally talented sushi chef. I can't speak to the teppanyaki but the sushi is excellent and I highly recommend this place. The nagiri was fresh and well constructed. The sticky rice used was perfect and well formed. The sushi rolls were also superb, showing the same expertise.

While "bushido" translates to "the way of the warrior," to me it simply means the way to great Japanese food. It's hard to believe you can find such authentic Japanese cuisine and atmosphere in Idaho Falls, but Bushido has both. Their strength is their sushi. While they have all the classics--nigiri sushi, sashimi, and traditional rolls--they also feature some exceptional specialty rolls. The Dragon and Rainbow rolls are very good choices and typical of what you'd find elsewhere. However, the Links (spicy tuna, spicy salmon, spicy shrimp, crab, tuna, avocado, firecracker sauce and wasabi tobiko) was unique and delicious. I also love the Boo-boo, which contains crispy shrimp tempura, crab, avocado and unagi. They also feature hibachi (grilled) dinners which are truly outstanding. You can choose from steak, chicken, shrimp, scallops, lobster, or a combination of any two or three. The steak and scallops were an incredible combo. There are also many other traditional Japanese entrees like Yakisoba (fried noodles), Udon (thick noodle soup), Tonkatsu (pork cutlet on rice) that are great for lunch or dinner. The Shabu-shabu (a bubbling hot pot with meat and veggies, like sukiyaki) is also very good here. The atmosphere is one of the best things about Bushido. Their dining area features a large koi pond right in the middle of the room. The booths are semiprivate with a recessed floor under the table, giving the feel and appearance of an authentic Japanese restaurant. The sushi bar is in a separate room. It is also decorated in a traditional Japanese style and is a fun, convivial place to enjoy fresh sushi made by friendly chefs. As you can tell, I really dig this place. Whether you have a "yen" for authentic Japanese food, or you're just a newbie wanting to find out what sushi is all about, this is a terrific place to try. Heads Up: dinner can be a little on the expensive side for Idaho Falls, but well worth it.

I absolutely love the decor and atmosphere of the place. The reason I came was because I loved Sato's. Now, I've been here twice and haven't had any problems with the service but the dishes seems rather...bland. I'm not sure if maybe I choice the wrong type of dishes or something but it was okay, not bad but not great. I haven't been back since but I'll probably try it again some day.

I love this place and can't wait to go back. Such a good atmosphere, family owned and operated. The food is great and everyone is very friendly. A++. Try their jalapeño bombs if you like spicy food, they're delicious!

Good sushi and reasonable prices for IF. Service was very slow with only one waiter working the dining room. The restaurant was not crowded but I am concerned about visiting on a crowded evening. I would rate my food as a 4 and service a 2.
